How to get Prime rank for free on 6b6t

Commands, new features and no queue are some of the things that makes 6b6t Minecraft anarchy special. However, the ranks that the server offers, are the way that players can support 6b6t financially. Instead of having a 12 hour queue and requiring players to buy $240 per year priority queue, like 2b2t does, on 6b6t players choose to optionally buy ranks, which give primarily cosmetics.

The 6b6t Shop

6b6t launched without any ranks or donations, however few months later we have launched the first ranks. These ranks from day one were optional. The goal of 6b6t was to always be an open server, with no rules and no queue. That means, that everyone should be able to join 6b6t at anytime. All Minecraft servers need to be hosted, and since 6b6t has 150-250 players online everyday, the hosting, backups and developers are expensive.

The ranks are a way for us to monetize the server, however they're more of a help, as 6b6t is not a profit making Minecraft server. Fortunately for players, the 6b6t shop has localized currencies as well as many payment methods, like PayPal, credit cards, debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, MobilePay, Multibanco, BLIK, Bancontact, EPS, giropay, iDEAL, Przelewy24, Sofort and Klarna Buy Now Pay Later.

At the 6b6t shop, there's also an option to leave a tip, without getting any benefits. 6b6t has three primary ranks: Prime, Elite and Apex. All of them are one-time purchases, that means you pay for it once and you keep it forever. The 2b2t priority queue, on the other hand, is a monthly cost, which sums up to $240 per year. How to get free Prime rank?

We almost never do discounts and free ranks are given away at rare occasions, such as our official building competitions. To grow our presence on Reddit and social media overall, we are doing a likely one time only Best Screenshot Competition, on the 6b6t Subreddit.

How does it work?

All you have to do, is make a great screenshot on 6b6t. You might be asked to verify that it was taken on the server, so save the location. Once you make the screenshot, go to the 6b6t Subreddit and post it. The title of your post must include the words: "6b6t", "Minecraft" and "Anarchy". Few examples:

Once you publish your post, head to the comments section and make a comment with your Minecraft username on 6b6t, so if you win, we can give you the rank straight away.

When does the competition end?

The winner will be choosen on 23rd November, 2024. It will be up to the 6b6t admin team to decide the winner, however you can upvote and comment on posts that you think should win.

History of monetization of anarchy servers

Many Minecraft anarchy servers came up with different ideas to monetize their servers, or in more correct terms, help the server owner pay for the bills, as for the majority of history of most servers, it is the anarchy server owners that pay for hosting, backups, DDoS protection and the rest of the costs.

2b2t

Unforunately, 2b2t is not anarchy since 2020 with the addition of new rules, however, the server still has a history of donation pages and paid queue. From 2010 to 2016, 2b2t required players to pay for the bills, otherwise the server would be shut down and the map would be released. From 2016 till today, the server offers $240 per year priority queue as a way to generate profit. 2b2t hasn't increased the player slots from 2016 by much, as the slots were only increased from 250 in 2016 to 350 in 2024. This means that the only option is to pay for priority queue, or wait 8 to 16 hours to join the server.

2b2t vs 6b6t - which one is better?

6b6t

6b6t started with no ranks, no queue and no donations. Few months later, as the server got established and started reaching 200-300 players online during peak times, as it does today, we started the 6b6t shop with our ranks. These ranks, offer cosmetics and other features like lower /tpa and /home cooldowns, which can be also achieved by voting to make it fair and non-P2W. Some additional benefits are builder mode and creating hotspots.

Constantiam

Constantiam, a semi-anarchy server, also with rules and punishments for spamming or lagging the server, functions on the old 2b2t donation system. In case the hosting bills for the server aren't paid for the month, the server will shut down and the map will be releaed. As the server reaches 20 to 40 players online most of the time, the players do donate and the server likely won't shut down anytime soon.

Endcrystal

Some smaller anarchy server owners, like Xymb who runs endcrystal.me, but is also an admin for 6b6t, decide to pay for their servers fully on their own. There is no way to donate on Endcrystal, the server reaches 5 to 15 players online so the costs are also lower.

What do 6b6t ranks give you?

6b6t ranks offer many benefits, however few of them stand out and are the primary reason behind purchases for players.

#1 More homes

6b6t is a semi-vanilla anarchy server with teleporation commands /home, /tpa and /hotspot. As players can have up to five homes for free by voting, some need more. We offer more homes with our ranks, for example Prime rank has 12 homes and Elite rank has 30 homes.

#2 Creating hotspot

Another popular teleporation command on 6b6t is /hotspot, but to create hotspots, you need to have Elite or Apex rank. With one of the ranks, you can create a hotspot with the command /hotspot create. Your hotspot will last for few hours and then you have a cooldown before you can create another one.

#3 Colorful nametag

All 6b6t ranks have a colorful nametag, which also has a seperate color for your name and another color for your chat. Elite rank, for example, gives a yellow Elite prefix, aqua username color and green chat. It is additionally possible to use the chat color of Prime, as it is a rank below Elite rank, with the command /chatcolor.

Some players buy ranks simply to support the server, but they for sure still enjoy the perks that they offer. The great thing about the rank remains that you can still play on 6b6t without them just like any other player.

An alternative to ranks

On 6b6t, the alternative to ranks, is voting. It is free and it offers similar benefits, such as more homes, lower cooldowns and access to the /skin command. Having the most possible amount of votes, will give you the same command cooldowns as Apex rank does.

The future of ranks

Ranks on 6b6t will keep getting new features over time. We're actively working on improving the server, and improving our monetizaton system is a part of that. Cosmetics are a great way to let players donate and buy ranks on Minecraft servers.

You can join 6b6t with both Minecraft Java edition using the IP play.6b6t.org and Bedrock edition using the IP bedrock.6b6t.org.
