Why is Minecraft so popular?
Minecraft was started many years ago in 2011, and today it's still the largest game ever. From thousands of blocks, to millions of opportunities, everything is possible in this game. However, there are some limitations, and it's actually those limitations that make the game fun. The videogame would have never reached this sort of popularity without survival mode. We all like to build without limits, but there's nothing challenging about that.
The more limited we are, the more free we actually are. There's a height limit, and you can only build in this place, however there is nothing you cannot do within those two coordinates.
Minecraft also heavily succeeded thanks to the open aspect it has, and we aren't talking about all the blocks and mobs, but the ability to make your own blocks and mobs with plugins and mods and to run your own servers. Not many videogames allow you to run your own server this openly like Minecraft, and that limits growth and the chaos that creates so many amazing places to play on like 6b6t, Hypixel and other servers.
It seems like Minecraft will be here with us for a very long time, and we're very happy about that. We created 6b6t to completely allow everything, as much as possible, whatever you can come up with, you can do it on 6b6t.
